“Lately, things haven’t been going so well…”

Thodorakis’ attitude to life is bright and breezy. Jobs and women come and go as he meanders through life in a vague search for meaning. His outlook changes, however, when his uncle forces him to become a chef and he discovers his penchant for all things culinary. He soon becomes a chef of renown and impresses his mentor so much that he is invited to join a secret society of cooks, whose members’ epicurial talents are matched only by their egos. Eager to prove himself to such an august group, he vows to create the perfect dish. However his obsession, coupled with the myriad of options before him, is to the detriment of all else. The women in his life find him unbearable in this blinkered state and it seems that not even his lifelong saviour Agios Fanourios can sway him from the path of self-destruction. However, just before reaching the ultimate impasse, news of his mentor’s grave illness rudely awakens him to harsh realities. It is a sobering reminder to him to keep his life in perspective.

Director's Bio - Stergios Niziris

Stergios Niziris was born in Lamia in 1967, he studied electrical engineering at the University of Patras and mathematics at M.S. the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and film directing at the Hadjikou Film School in Athens and Westminster University in London.
