Liza and All The Others

Η Λίζα και Όλοι οι Άλλοι
I Liza kai Oloi oi Alloi

“Seeking young, handsome and normal guy, for over two months…”

Set in contemporary Athens, the film provides an insight to the lifestyle of “beautiful people” and focuses on Liza, a young, attractive freelance journalist and her quest for the ideal male; an attractive devoted male, that loves her and who would be the perfect man to introduce to her friends and work colleagues as her lover and partner. Frustrated by the fact that she continuously meets the ‘wrong man’, she reflects and endeavours to explain the behaviour of the opposite sex. In order to deal with her insecurities, Lisa perpetually preoccupies herself with her image and appearance.
Her relationship with Gianni has a distinct lack of intimacy and her submissiveness gives rise to contrasting emotions. Drawing on her previous experiences with men, Liza attempts to illustrate the frustrations and dilemmas she confronts in her search for the perfect partner. These encounters also act as a reference guide for an article she has been assigned to write. Then one evening she meets Paris, an irresistible male with a soft and seductive nature. Absorbed by Paris’s alluring charisma, Liza asks herself whether she has finally found the ideal male. Her personal recollections and tribulations are a satirical and comical description of the difficulties and fears of the modern day Athenian woman.
