There are five of them: Maria, Eleni, Anna, Giorgos and Yannis. They are around fifteen and so far everything has gone wrong for them since they got off to a bad start: they are all kids from institutions. Everything, except for their friendship. So when the moment comes when Eleni wants to track down her mother at all costs - even to her grave - they all set off on the journey together. ?n search of their personal past they will rediscover "the distant past of the world". So these "unlucky" creatures will end up becoming the "favorites of the gods", the ones who will find, through the power of friendship, the road that leads to beauty.

Nikos Cornilios

Born in Athens in 1954. Studies theatre, music and architecture. For many years he lived in Paris where he composed orchestral music and directed for the Chaillot National Theatre His works have been performed at many Europoean festivals. ?? 1988 he returned to Greece and devoted himself to making films and directing for the NationaI Theatre.
