Director: Nikos Triandafyllidis
The
only documentary ever made of blues legend Screamin' Jay Hawkins, it explores
his music, life and character with perception and warmth. The director
travelled with the singer before he died capturing intimate moments, anecdotes
and insights into Hawkins's turbulent life. The documentary has great
musical sequences that display the singer's wildly flamboyant but powerful
music to the full.
