Theophilos, a publisher, falls madly in love with Sia who does the vocal backing for a female star. Sia loves Theophilos but still accepts the attentions of her admirers. Driven by jealousy, Theophilos squanders his money and ends up in financial mess. Implicated in a murder, he is investigated by police captain Nikas. Sia becomes Nikas's mistress in exchange for his silence. A film by a veteran Greek director.
